After studying violin, Bettina Ranch devoted herself exclusively to singing. She performs both in concert as well as in opera productions and works regularly with such renewed ensembles as the
Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Concerto Köln, Leipziger Kammerorchester, Bamberger Symphoniker, Bochumer Symphoniker, Deutsches Kammerorchester Berlin and
Ms. Ranch’s concert schedule includes Mozart's Coronation Mass with Hamburg Philharmonic under Simone Young, a Mozart-Rossini Gala concert with the Bremen Philharmonic under Markus Poschner, Haydn's Il Ritorno di Tobia with Capella Cracoviensis, conducted by Paul Goodwin, a revival of Handel’s Alcina at Händelfestspiele Halle, Dvorak’s Stabat Mater with Hartmut Haenchen and Haydn-Orchester Bozen during several concerts in Italy and Mozart’s oratorio Betulia Liberata (as Guiditta) at Winteroper Potsdam with Kammerakademie Potsdam under Antonello Manacorda, which was followed by an immediate reinvitation for the next season in Scarlatti’s opera Cain und Abel.
Further prospective engagements are: Messias with Bremer Philharmoniker, Franz Schmidt’s Das Buch mit sieben Siegeln with Simone Young and Hamburger Philharmoniker, Verdi’s Requiem with Bergische Symphoniker, Messias at Dresdner Philharmonie under Michael Sanderling, Bach cantatas with Rinaldo Alessandrini and Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and Götterdämmerung/ Waltraute with Bremer Philharmoniker under Markus Poschner, the third lady of The Magic Flute at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, the third maid in Zemlinsky’s The Dwarf and many roles at the Aalto Musiktheater in Essen for the next season as Carmen / Carmen, Adalgisa / Norma, Maddalena / Rigoletto and others.
