Karl-Heinz Macek - Actor

Karl-Heinz Macek, was born in Bolzano, Italy in 1957, his mother language is German.

He started his career as an actor in 1980 with different theatrical companies in South Tyrol. With an average number of 5-6 theatrical productions per year he worked in operettas, musicals, prose pieces and TV productions for Broadcasting Companies as RAI, ORF, Bayerischer Rundfunk, ZDF as well as for radio productions, TV and radio advertising spots and cabaret.

He played the protagonist's role in many productions, he acts above all in pieces of German-speaking authors.

He played as guest in many theatres in Italy, Austria and Germany and acts with pleasure in dramatic as well as in comedian roles.

In the last years he worked as an actor for operatic productions too, like the "Zauberflöte," of W. A. Mozart directed by Daniele Abbado, "Die Entführung aus dem Serail" in Strehler's production, at Teatro Nacional Sao Carlos in Lisboa and in San Sebastian (2006) as well in the world-première of the contemporary opera "Wolkenstein" of Hiller/Mitterer, directed by Percy Adlon at the Nürnberg Opera Theatre.
